Abstract:

The great poet Subramanian Bharati said that “Many languages are one emotion”. Although Indians speak many languages, the emotional essence that binds us together us together is one, it reflects the idea that each language of India plays an important role in our strengthens our ethnic culture and knowledge. In the entire education system of India, the national Education policy (2020) has brought a paradigm shift, especially in regional language education, in which the method of teaching through regional languages as a medium of educational has been specially discussed. The objectives of this study are to see a radical change in language teaching in India through National Educational policy (NEP 2020). The main objectives of this study are to find solutions to the problems of language teaching in NEP 2020 especially in the field of regional languages. This study explores how NEP 2020 represented vernacular through qualitative analysis of various documents and policies. It is conclude that, in line with the NEP policy, the policy of “Multilingualism for National Unity” is strengthened. It aims to encourage creativity, inclusiveness and teachers by connecting of harmony among students and teachers by connecting them with a larger community in participatory, experientional and enjoyable activities centered on Indian languages.
